Comcast Internet

I have had a lot of owners asking me about the pricing. I contacted Comcast and this is what I received, please keep in mind that these prices can change at any time because they rotate through offers.

A few minor corrections in red below.

Subject: Re: Independence Ave. Provo

Okay so just so I have this all in one place to forward to homeowners this is what
I understand:

5 Mbps - Included in the HOA with the router given at original install

25 Mbps - $24.99 per month for 12 months, then will increase to the current
everyday rate (will need new router if already installed with the 5 Mbps or
250 Mbps packages, if not we will provide the correct router at the time
of your free install)

50 Mbps - $24.99 for 3 months then $34.99 for 9 months, then will increase
to the current everyday rate (will need new router if already installed with the
5 Mbps or 250 Mbps packages, if not we will provide the correct router at
the time of your free install)

250 Mbps - $50.00 per month on a 2 year contract. Contract would move
with customer if they move within Provo. If they move outside of Provo the
contract would be voided(uses original router from the install if originally
installed with the 5 Mbps included by the HOA)

Please call Dusty Heap (801-699-1686) if you need help obtaining these offers.
I have communicated to him that he might receive some calls.

ICE MELT and HOT TUB

The snow is beautiful! Just a reminder that there is ice melt at the front door of the clubhouse. Bring a scoop and bag to take what you need for your porches.

Please drive safely and slower in the snow and ice. Remember stopping time is longer. Lets be courteous and kind and have a wonderful fun winter.

The hot tub is still open as well. Please replace the cover each time you use it to conserve the heat. Please be safe and use common sense according to the weather.

HAVE FUN!!!

PLEASE READ THIS FULL ARTICLE ON DROWNING.
 http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/family/2013/06/rescuing_drowning_children_how_to_know_when_someone_is_in_trouble_in_the.html
I see so many parents at the pool not watching their children.

  1. “Except in rare circumstances, drowning people are physiologically unable to call out for help. The respiratory system was designed for breathing. Speech is the secondary or overlaid function. Breathing must be fulfilled before speech occurs.
  2. Drowning people’s mouths alternately sink below and reappear above the surface of the water. The mouths of drowning people are not above the surface of the water long enough for them to exhale, inhale, and call out for help. When the drowning people’s mouths are above the surface, they exhale and inhale quickly as their mouths start to sink below the surface of the water.
  3. Drowning people cannot wave for help. Nature instinctively forces them to extend their arms laterally and press down on the water’s surface. Pressing down on the surface of the water permits drowning people to leverage their bodies so they can lift their mouths out of the water to breathe.
  4. Throughout the Instinctive Drowning Response, drowning people cannot voluntarily control their arm movements. Physiologically, drowning people who are struggling on the surface of the water cannot stop drowning and perform voluntary movements such as waving for help, moving toward a rescuer, or reaching out for a piece of rescue equipment.
  5. From beginning to end of the Instinctive Drowning Response people’s bodies remain upright in the water, with no evidence of a supporting kick. Unless rescued by a trained lifeguard, these drowning people can only struggle on the surface of the water from 20 to 60 seconds before submersion occurs.”

POOL TO OPEN MAY 15th

The city will be out this week to inspect the pool. We are tentatively set to open on Wed, May 15th. Please reread all the pool rules. There are copies in the clubhouse wall outside the upstairs restrooms. Please reread and follow. Remember to clean up after yourselves and to take all of your belongings with you. Always leave it better than it was found. Enjoy the summer and have fun.
